Henderson Brick

Well, here it is, the house that we looked at on Saturday, October 7, 2006. I put some of the details of the house below, so some of this is redundant. It is a 2-story brick home built in 1900 on 5th Street in Henderson, MN. It has 3 bedrooms & 1 bathroom with 1,990 sq. ft. of finished living area. There is a detached garage that is listed as a 1 car, but could probably fit 2 if it had to. Here are the room sizes:

Main Floor
Living Room 13X13
Dining Room 9X10
Kitchen 11X13

2nd Floor
Main Bedroom 13X14
Extra Bedroom #1 8X10
Extra Bedroom #2 8X10

From Henderson it would be a 50 minute drive for me to work, probably 40-45 minutes for Stacy to work, and 46 minutes to church.

Stacy and I like this house, mostly because the price is right, but also because it has a lot of potential to be a very nice home with lots of character. Henderson is a beautiful little town of 910 citizens situated on the Minnesota River in a tree-filled valley. The town has an old-fashioned downtown with a hardware store, gas station, stained glass store, the Brass Top restaurant, 2+ churches, elementary school, public library, antique store, etc.

We have expressed our interest in this house to our realtor and will be scheduling an appointment to go look at it again with a trusted friend from church, who is a contractor. Based on his comments, suggestions, recommendation, we may make an offer. In the meantime, we will be praying about it a lot. Seeking God's guidance & wisdom, as always, but moreso now. Posted by Picasa
